Ah, the problem…
Always one isn’t there?!
Unfortunately, for every one of those smashing it online, there are thousands of new creators who never even make their first sale, let alone gain any real success.
And the number one reason?
They don’t yet have credibility!
Without credibility you ain’t sellin’ nothin’!
No matter how good you are at what you do or how great your product or service, if no-one trusts you, they’re simply not going to buy your stuff.
Which is when the inevitable disillusionment kicks in…
And new creators give up on the idea of the internet lifestyle and stick to the dayjob – the one they’re clearly unhappy with (trust me, I’ve been there, nearly quitting on many occasions)!
THE DISTRACTION

The trouble is, there’s so much drivel out there on selling the dream!
The creator space is full of chancers flogging all kinds of garbage just to make a quick buck…
Trust me, they’re not thinking about the value they’re giving YOU!
A classic example is when the self-declared experts tell you to “just start… at least put something out, even if it’s not that good.”
The problem is, it doesn’t work.
If it smacks of junk to begin with, not only will your audience be completely disinterested, but they’ll be put off and NEVER come back to your offers in future!
Why?
Because it’s just not credible that poorly perceived content can do them any good!
The thing is, everyone’s in a hurry these days, so if you’re putting poor quality out, no-one’s going to trust you enough to spend their valuable time consuming stuff they don’t believe will give them any benefit.
Bottom line, to gain credibility, you need to offer something genuinely useful to the market you’re targeting.
And this is where the good news comes in…

Creating QUALITY digital products is easy…
You just need to know how to package them so people believe you!
That’s it.
Simple!
You don’t need the over-priced coaching programmes of the ‘gurus’ or their endless upsells to create something anyone can do in their spare time (even without experience or any major tech skills).
The internet age makes it easy to create all kinds of media…
Video, webcopy, physical products… the principles are the same.
To gain credibility you simply need to know a little more than someone else who wants to learn, package that knowledge up into a simple digital product and then get it out there into the world using the right words to command authority (and no, you don’t need to be a fancy copywriter to create compelling content).
You do however need to make sure your offer doesn’t look like it’s been thrown together by a toddler chucking a tantrum in a toyshop, and that requires just a little bit of secret sauce…
I call it ‘tapping into their greed glands’ (don’t worry, it’s nothing sinister or nasty, it’s simply a metaphor for gently persuading them your product or service is the one thing that day they canβt do without)!
The thing is, being credible is the key to your audience lapping up everything you’ve got and happily paying you for it!
Remember, with credibility comes trust, and people buy from people they trust.
